Sustainability Strategy

At Alligo, sustainability is an integral part of our strategy and business planning. Our ambition is to be unbeatable as a leader in sustainable development within our industry, and we view it as a key factor for both responsibility and long-term profitability. 

Our sustainability strategy is based on Alligo’s vision and strategic targets and is built on a clear understanding of how our operations impact the world around us. It also reflects what matters most to our stakeholders. Sustainability is embedded in our business model and permeates our daily operations – from executive decisions to customer interactions. 

We work proactively to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to sustainability, ensuring we stay ahead and create value for our customers, employees, and society. 

Material Topics

We have identified nine material sustainability topics across environment, society, and governance. These describe how Alligo’s operations affect people and the environment, and how sustainability issues and external developments impact our business.

Ansvarsfulla leverantörsrelationer minskar klimatpåverkan
91 procent av Alligos klimatpåverkan uppstår vid produktion av varor. Därför är samarbetet med leverantörer avgörande. Genom tydliga krav, uppföljning och nära dialog med leverantörer i Norden, Europa och Asien arbetar vi för att minska klimatpåverkan och hantera hållbarhetsrisker som bristande arbetsvillkor, kränkningar av mänskliga rättigheter och korruption i hela värdekedjan.
Engagerade medarbetare
Alligo har verksamhet i Sverige, Norge, Finland och Estland, med majoriteten av medarbetarna i butik och logistik. Vi arbetar systematiskt för en trygg arbetsmiljö och vår uppförandekod är en av grundstenarna i företagskulturen och ett centralt styrdokument.
Hållbara transporter
Gods transporteras från leverantörer med fartyg, tåg och lastbil till våra logistikcenter och vidare till butik eller und. Centraliserad logistik ger ökad effektivitet och stärker vårt ansvarstagande.
Nöjda kunder
Alligo erbjuder produkter och tjänster som stödjer kundernas vardag, med fokus på säkerhet, kvalitet och hållbarhet. Genom kunddialog och professionell vägledning möter vi högt ställda krav.
Säkra produkter
Ett standardiserat sortiment underlättar certifieringar och miljömärkningar, vilket är information som kunderna efterfrågar. Hållbarhet är en viktig del i både produktutveckling och tjänster, från klädtryck till återbruk av arbetskläder.

Responsible supplier relationships reduce climate impact
91 percent of Alligo's climate impact comes from the production of goods. Therefore, collaboration with suppliers is crucial. Through clear requirements, follow-up, and close dialogue with suppliers in the Nordic countries, Europe, and Asia, we work to reduce climate impact and manage sustainability risks such as poor working conditions, violations of human rights, and corruption throughout the entire value chain.
Committed employees
Alligo has stores, warehouses, and offices in Sweden, Norway, and Finland, as well as a smaller operation in Estonia. The majority of employees work in stores and logistics. We carry out systematic efforts to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Our Code of Conduct is a cornerstone of our company culture and a key guiding document.
Sustainable logistics
Goods are transported from suppliers by ship, train, and truck to our logistics centres, and then on to stores or directly to customers. Centralised logistics increases efficiency and strengthens our responsibility throughout the supply chain.
Satisfied customers
Alligo offer customers workwear, personal protective equipment, tools and consumables that they need in their everyday work, with a strong focus on safety, quality and sustainability. Through customer dialogue and professional guidance, we meet high expectations.
Product safety
A standardised product range simplifies certifications and eco-labelling, information that customers request. Sustainability is central to both product development and services, from garment printing to reuse of workwear.

Sustainability Targets and KPIs

To achieve our sustainability ambitions, we have defined five strategic sustainability targets that are followed up annually and guide our daily work. 

The strategic sustainability targets are complemented by time-bound targets/KPIs within all nine of our material issues.
