Procurement

Nordic coordination ensures the right assortment, quality and availability

Alligo’s procurement is coordinated at Nordic level and forms a central part of our operations. Through a standardised assortment, we ensure the right quality, high availability and a competitive offering that meets the needs of professional users in their everyday work.

Nordic assortment and procurement organisation

Alligo’s procurement is governed by a Nordic assortment and procurement organisation responsible for ensuring a competitive, available and sustainable offering. The work is based on a common Nordic assortment that creates clarity, economies of scale and efficiency across the Group, while remaining flexible enough to meet different customer needs across eight defined industry segments.

Matching procurement needs with the right purchasing decisions requires efficient processes and in‑depth knowledge of demand, assortment, certifications and suppliers. The procurement organisation maintains a close and continuous dialogue with Alligo’s sales organisations to understand customer needs and capture market signals.

Datadriven and integrated way of working

Procurement is datadriven and based on analyses of sales patterns, demand and customer needs. Through close collaboration between procurement, sales and logistics, the right volumes, healthy inventory turnover and high availability are ensured across all markets. This integrated approach enables rapid adjustments to procurement and assortment in changing market conditions and supports efficient use of capital and resources.

Inventory and availability

A changing world requires short decision paths to adapt procurement to evolving sales trends. Alligo works continuously with monitoring and preventive measures to balance high availability with efficient inventory levels. The objective is that 95% of stocked items in the standard assortment are always available for rapid delivery. Inventory needs are continuously analysed based on demand and country‑specific sales forecasts, while inventory levels are optimised through close cooperation between procurement, sales and logistics.

Balanced supplier base and responsible sourcing

Alligo works with a carefully selected network of suppliers where longterm relationships, quality and business ethics are key principles. Procurement is primarily sourced from suppliers in the Nordics, the rest of Europe and Asia. Requirements relating to delivery reliability, ethical conduct and sustainability are integrated into the procurement process and followed up systematically.

Through longterm partnerships and continuous dialogue, transparency in the supply chain is strengthened, while procurement contributes to a responsible offering and Alligo’s longterm competitiveness.
